Dagger Directive Deploys into Early Access on Steam
MicroProse and developer Arcane Alpacas LLC are excited to announce that Dagger Directive, the tactical first-person shooter that puts mission planning and execution in the hands of the player, is now officially available in Early Access on Steam
Blending modern tactical gameplay with a nostalgic old-school aesthetic, Dagger Directive puts players in command of elite international operatives carrying out high-stakes missions across the globe. With its distinctive retro-inspired visuals and deep sandbox mechanics, the game offers a fresh-yet-familiar experience for fans of classic tactical shooters.
Players step into the boots of a Task Force Dagger operative and take on covert missions across three major theaters of operation-the frigid Bering Sea, the volatile South Pacific, and the war-torn zones of Eastern Europe. Every mission offers wide-open environments, flexible objectives, and total freedom of approach: go loud, stay silent, or choose a path in between.
“With Dagger Directive, we wanted to capture the thrill of planning and executing real tactical operations-while embracing a visual style that calls back to the shooters we grew up with,” said Daniel Fowler, lead developer at Arcane Alpacas LLC. “We’re excited to shape this game with our community as it evolves through Early Access.”
