GameJam+, the Game Development World Cup, Kicks Off In October - Registration for Participants Opens August 31

GameJam+ - a yearly video game development marathon established to foster and mentor new independent studios - today announced that registration for participants for the first stage of the event will open August 31, 2021. In addition, host cities can also still register until September 7, 2021. The fifth edition of the event begins in October and will run for seven months over multiple stages, with the first stage running from October 8 to October 10.

Known as the “Game Development World Cup,” the first stage of GameJam+ will take place from October 9 to 11, 2020, and welcomes developers and industry professionals of all skill levels and areas of expertise to compete, collaborate, mentor, and connect with developers from across the globe.

InnoGames richtet Gamejam mitten auf der gamescom aus

Der Hamburger Onlinespieleanbieter InnoGames hat heute angekündigt, direkt auf dem Show Floor der gamescom in Köln einen Gamejam auszurichten. Bei dem Event entwickeln die insgesamt zwölf Teilnehmer in Gruppen binnen 96 Stunden drei Spiele - von der allerersten Idee bis zum fertigen Produkt. Los geht es am Mittwoch, dem 13. August um 14 Uhr. Am Sonntag, 17. August um 14 Uhr prämiert InnoGames das Gewinnerspiel. Neben vier InnoGames-Mitarbeitern nehmen auch acht externe Entwickler und Designer an dem Gamejam teil.
