Team17 has today announced that it will be working with Polish game dev creative house, Covenant.dev, to bring Gord, a single-player dark fantasy strategy game, to PC. In the world of Gord, players will lead the Tribe of the Dawn as they strive to establish new settlements and explore eerie forbidden lands while interacting with horrific creatures and deities inspired by Slavic folklore.

In the fourth quarter of this year, Disturbing Forest - a puzzle adventure game set in an original fantasy world - will debut on PC. Players can expect, among others, a tense atmosphere, survival elements and a detective mode. A free prologue of the game is already available on Steam. In 2022, Disturbing Forest will also hit Nintendo Switch.
Thief Simulator 2, a new instalment of the best-selling mix of stealth, adventure and simulation, will debut in 2022 on PC. The developers promise many improvements and new possibilities, including three diverse locations full of objects and goals. In 2023, Thief Simulator 2 is scheduled to also hit consoles: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
On November 20th this year, Psycho Wolf, a crazy indie game with cartoonish 2.5D graphics and gameplay resembling titles such as Don’t Starve, will debut on PC. The developers focused on simple gameplay rules, a lot of running, exploration, crafting and survival elements, as well as providing opportunities for uncompromising axe-swinging. In the second half of 2021, Psycho Wolf is also to be released on Nintendo Switch.
Pangeon, a retro-styled roguelike, will appear on Xbox One as early as on 4th November this year. The game is inspired by classic dungeon crawlers and combines various elements of the genre in a unique manner. Previously, Pangeon was released for PC and Nintendo Switch, and in the first half of 2021 it will also hit PlayStation 4.
In December last year, Swedish independent game developer 10 Chambers Collective - formed in 2015 by nine industry veterans known for titles such as PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 - released their first game GTFO, a 4-player co-op action/horror FPS, in Early Access. It has been described as Left 4 Dead meets Aliens, and uses a Rundown concept, where the game is regularly updated with new expeditions (i.e. maps, scenarios, enemies, etc.) that replace the previous ones.

Das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Bei der großen Preisverleihung des fünften Deutschen Computerspielpreises wurden heute Abend die besten Spiele-Entwickler und -Publisher 2013 ausgezeichnet. Die Entwickler von Daedalic Entertainment aus Hamburg konnten sich besonders freuen. Ihr Adventure-Spiel Chaos auf Deponia hat in der Kategorie Bestes Deutsches Spiel gewonnen. Die begehrte Auszeichnung und das damit verbundene Preisgeld in Höhe von 50.000€ gehen damit bereits zum zweiten Mal nach 2011 an das Hamburger Studio. Der mit insgesamt 385.000 Euro dotierte Deutsche Computerspielpreis 2013 wird von den Branchenverbänden BIU und G.A.M.E gemeinsam mit dem Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, Staatsminister Bernd Neumann (MdB) in insgesamt sieben Kategorien vergeben.
