Songs of Conquest Catapults into 1.0 Today, Launching on Consoles in Fall 2024
Coffee Stain Publishing and Lavapotion’s hit fantasy strategy game launches after 2 years in Early Access full of new additions and improvements, introducing the new Barya campaign alongside an imminent launch on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Coffee Stain Publishing and Lavapotion are delighted to announce that Songs of Conquest has launched into 1.0 today on PC and Mac after two years in Early Access, and will be launching on Playstation and Xbox consoles in Fall of this year! For its full launch, the fantasy strategy game introduces numerous enhancements and improvements, alongside a brand new fully-fledged campaign exploring the mercantile Barya faction.
Songs of Conquest follows in the footsteps of genre legends such as the Heroes of Might and Magic and Age of Wonders series, blending strategic gameplay and kingdom management with vibrant pixel graphics. >From gallant knights and gold-loving merchants to swamp creatures and necromancers, there are 4 unique factions to discover throughout the game, each with their own challenges to overcome, strategies to learn, and stories to tell.
The new campaign releasing alongside the 1.0 launch is the fourth single player story campaign in Songs of Conquest, exploring the rich lore of the Barya faction. Players will step into the shoes of Bihgli Satherdown, an ambitious Wielder, on his journey of discovery across the sandy dunes and rugged landscape of Barya.

The new Barya campaign will also be available in the heavily requested console version of Songs of Conquest, which is set to release in Fall 2024. Further console news will be shared in the coming months.
Since its original Early Access launch in May 2022, Songs of Conquest has also seen a range of new content and improvements including, but not limited to:
New single player campaign for the Barony of Loth faction
Rework of the existing faction campaigns
Improvements to the enemy AI across the board
Introduction of simultaneous turns and improvements to siege battles
Full gamepad support & Steam Deck verification
Addition of the random map generator and challenge maps
Improvements to mod and user-generate map content
“Today’s 1.0 launch is the culmination of years of hard work, and we’re so incredibly proud of how far Songs of Conquest has come,” said Carl Toftfelt, Lead Game Designer at Lavapotion. “We’ve always had high ambitions for our game, but the incredible passion of our amazing community these past 2 years from the Early Access launch has pushed us to make it even better than we could have imagined.”
“We don’t want anyone to miss out on the adventure either, so we’re thrilled to be able to bring Songs of Conquest to Playstation and Xbox consoles later this year too!” added Magnus Alm, CEO and co-founder of Lavapotion. “This is something our playerbase has been requesting for a while now, so it’s great to finally make it a reality.”
