PUBG MOBILE’s First Asymmetrical PVP Mode ‘UNFAIL’ Launches Today

PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, is excited to officially launch UNFAIL, its first asymmetrical PVP mode to the battlegrounds, following a successful preview at gamescom 2025. From today, players can dive into fast-paced five-player matches, work together to survive and outsmart their opponents, engage with strategic new items, and navigate dynamic terrain to gain the upper hand in thrilling showdowns.

In UNFAIL, players face tense pursuit-and-escape action in Erangel’s reimagined Mylta Power. Years ago, a leak left the nuclear power plant abandoned and overgrown, and a scientific research team sent to unlock terminals discovered that radiation had mutated an electrician into a dangerous Predator. Each round features five players, with one as the Predator and the other four as Survivors, who must navigate the plant’s distinct areas, activate terminals to advance the round, and escape through exit gates, all while working together to fend off the Predator. Survivors must stay alert, as the Predator’s signature skills allow it to pull in opponents, slow their movements, and turn invisible, making every round a high-stakes encounter.

Players can use the environment and interactive objects to their advantage. Survivors can take cover behind flipping pallets, hide in distribution boxes, slide through electric barriers, or use fire extinguishers to obscure the Predator’s vision. Collectible berries restore health, while items including jet gauntlets, AEDs, and wrenches provide speed boosts, faster rescues, and quicker terminal repairs, creating new tactical opportunities and rewarding teamwork.

The new mode also rewards strategic thinking and teamwork, offering tools that allow players to master movement through window vaulting and sliding, interact with nearby objects, and spot key items during close encounters to guide survivors. A coring systems helps track both individual performance and team contribution, while the directional ECG-inspired heart rate display adds intensity to every pursuit, ensuring that each round delivers excitement and strategy in equal measure.

The PUBG MOBILE UNFAIL mode will be available from September 26th, 2025.
