PUBG MOBILE’s 8th Anniversary Celebrations Span the Globe with Landmark Events & Cultural Moments

PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, has unveiled one of its largest-ever global anniversary celebrations, spanning three continents and engaging a community of over 1 billion players worldwide. Through landmark live events, large-scale performances, and immersive fan experiences, the 8th Anniversary transformed iconic locations into cultural stages, blending gaming, music, and entertainment on a global scale and signalling PUBG MOBILE’s evolution into its “Beyond Battle Royale” era.

At the heart of this year’s celebrations was the flagship 8th Anniversary Carnival in Cairo, Egypt, staged in front of the world-famous Giza Pyramids. In a historic first, PUBG MOBILE brought a large-scale gaming event to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, transforming the site into a 10,000+ sqm immersive experience zone. More than five thousand attendees explored interactive fan spaces, gameplay showcases, and installations reflecting eight years of in-game evolution, and showcasing PUBG MOBILE’s position as one of the most influential forces in digital entertainment. The event culminated in a large-scale live production featuring performances from Egyptian rap star Wegz, internationally acclaimed dance group The Mayyas, and DJ Mahmut Orhan, delivering a multi-genre spectacle set against one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world. With this event, PUBG MOBILE has set a new benchmark for large-scale gaming and entertainment experiences in the MENA region.

The celebrations continued in Turkiye, where PUBG MOBILE hosted a grand offline Anniversary Gala on March 27. Uniting fans, creators, and esports talent, the event featured performances from influencer sesegel and rap artist Lvbel C5, alongside appearances from PUBG MOBILE creators and players. The Gala extended beyond a single venue, with offline viewing parties held across Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Samsun, creating a nationwide moment for the community to come together and celebrate eight years of Battle Royale action. In Istanbul, the celebration expanded into a series of citywide activations, including a Bosphorus Strait cruise, Turkey’s first robot dance show inspired by in-game victory moments, and a live folk orchestra performance of PUBG MOBILE’s iconic lobby music. Landmark takeovers across the city, including a 3D light show at Galata Tower and large-scale outdoor screens, further extended the anniversary into public spaces.

Across Southeast Asia, the “8EYOND THE CIRCLE, 8ATTLEGROUND FOR EVERY #1” Festival in Surabaya, Indonesia delivered one of the region’s largest gaming celebrations, drawing over 100,000 attendees across two days. The event combined competitive gameplay, interactive installations, and live music performances from leading regional artists. A 2,000-drone display, the largest ever staged in Indonesia, secured a national Guinness World Record and became the centrepiece of the celebration. The festival also drove significant online engagement, generating over 800 million social media views and 34,000+ pieces of user-generated content, showcasing PUBG MOBILE’s cultural impact both on-site and digitally.

Additional activations further extended the anniversary’s global footprint. In Mexico City, PUBG MOBILE partnered with the Soumaya Museum to project in-game visuals onto its exterior, bringing the game into one of the country’s most recognisable cultural landmarks. In Pakistan, collaborations with PSL cricket talent and rap artist Faris Shafi connected the celebration with local audiences, reinforcing the game’s relevance across diverse markets.

Beyond physical events, PUBG MOBILE’s 8th Anniversary was amplified through a number of global collaborations. The debut of the official 2026 Theme Song “LEAN” by OneRepublic, alongside collaborations with BamBam and MINNIE of i-dle and MrBeast, connected players worldwide through music, creator content, and shared in-game experiences, further connecting gaming and global pop culture.

PUBG MOBILE’s 8th Anniversary also signals a broader transformation for the brand. With the introduction of the anniversary-themed “Evolving Universe” mode, the game continues to expand its creative scope, delivering new gameplay experiences shaped by eight years of development and player feedback. Anchored by the “FOR EVERY #1” campaign, this next phase reinforces PUBG MOBILE’s role as a global game, where players, creators, and communities connect through shared experiences that extend beyond traditional battle royale gameplay.
