Zynga and Lionel Brands Group Bring CSR Cars to Life With New Collectible Model Kits
Zynga Inc., a wholly-owned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. and a global leader in interactive entertainment, today announced a partnership with collectible model manufacturer Lionel Brands Group to bring some of the most iconic rides in the popular mobile racing game franchise CSR into the physical world.
Collectors will be able to get their hands on an AMT 1:25 scale 2012 Corvette Coupe model kit, along with a Johnny Lightning 1:64 die-cast 2-pack, to celebrate the customizable car culture that defines the CSR franchise. This is a first-of-its-kind partnership not only for CSR but also Zynga, bringing one of their beloved mobile game franchises to life in a collectible toy for the first time.
The AMT CSR Racing 2012 Corvette Coupe 1:25 scale model kit captures the collectability and personalization that define CSR. Produced from modern tooling, the model is a “curbside” style kit, designed with a reduced parts count for an easy and enjoyable build while maintaining impressive detail. Kits are available for purchase now at Hobby Lobby, online hobby retailers and via Auto World Store.
The kit features chrome-plated wheels, low-profile tires, disc brakes, quad exhaust finishers, and authentic vinyl bucket seats. A deluxe decal sheet allows builders to customize the look with multiple striping options, gauges, scripts, marker lights, mirror faces and more, reflecting the spirit of customization that players love in the game. The model is packaged in special CSR Racing–themed AMT packaging, making it a must-have for both hobby builders and collectors.
“This is a benchmark partnership for CSR, bringing what our players love most about the
franchise, customizing their own collection of the world’s greatest cars, to life in a way that feelsboth uniquely fitting and surprisingly unexpected for the franchise,” said Sam Cooper, Vice President, Games, at Zynga.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with CSR to bring a new level of authenticity and energy to the automotive collectibles space,” said Richard Barry, CEO of Lionel Brands Group. “By combining CSR’s dynamic digital car culture with our legacy of crafting detailed, hands-on model kits and die-cast collectibles, we’re creating a unique bridge between virtual and physical car enthusiasm. This collaboration allows us to reach a new generation of builders and collectors while delivering the quality and nostalgia our fans expect.”
