Yer a mermaid, Craig - an inverse mermaid. Go against the flow! Swimpossible! coming to Steam February 18th
Arcane Cabinet Games has announced the release date for their hilarious Foddian game where you play as an inverse mermaid named Craig, whose quirky ambition is to swim… against the current at all costs. So go with the flow - or rather, against it? Try not to drink too much water from the river, although that's probably not a problem for an aquatic creature ! Dive in on February 18th
Arcane Cabinet Games has decided that it's time to leave their pond and join the big fish in the sea with their debut indie project - Swimpossible!, launching on Steam on February 18th. Players can expect thrills far more exciting than a lazy day by the river, mixed with a dose of absurd humor, submerged in a charming "cozy game" aesthetic.
Swimpossible! is a rage game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, putting players in control of Craig, an upside-down mermaid - so a maid-mer? - very determined to swim upstream. With each of their limbs controlled by a different button, you won’t exactly feel like a ‘fish in the water’ right away. Mastering basic movement is one thing. Avoiding ducks, worms, turtles or whatever else the river carries is another challenge of its own.

Your scaly hero's ambitious journey will be accompanied by cozy sounds and environment, and the story will be told without a single drop of dialogue, using 2D comic panels focused entirely on Craig. Will it be an odyssey of arm-leg-fin synchronisation, a heart-wrenching battle against ducks or perhaps a smooth speedrun - or should we say speedswim? You are the one creating the journey!

The developers are committed to not just making you look and feel ridiculous - they want to have a real positive impact on the aquatic inhabitants of our planet, which is why ten cents ($0.10) from every dollar earned on Steam will be donated to support the WDC - Whale and Dolphin Conservation organization.
Swimpossible! will debut on February 18th, but don't get out of the water just yet!
