Wilnas Joins Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Roster in Version 2.20 Update on August 5
On August 5, video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. President: Koichi Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as “Cygames”) released the Version 2.20 update to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR), developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam platforms. This update comes with the new playable character Wilnas and new content such as a Zombie Land Saga movie premium avatar set, as well as additional in-game content included with Premium Battle Pass Round 9.
Version 2.20 Update
Version 2.20 was released on August 5 and introduces the new playable character Willnas in addition to the content included with Battle Pass Round 9. Additionally, new playable “EX Character” versions of Gran, Djeeta, and Narmaya have been added. Experience new twists on familiar characters with all new mechanics and skills!

Wilnas the Vermillion of the Six Dragons Joins the Roster as a Playable Character!
Wilnas is now obtainable as a DLC character. This addition to the roster includes a premium avatar of him that can be set as a partner character to give you advice and support while playing, a character badge, and more!

Wilnas the Vermillion is one of the Six Dragons, deific beings who have existed since the beginning of creation. His true form is that of a crimson dragon able to evaporate oceans with a single breath of fire, but these days, he typically appears as a jolly Human man, eager to lend a hand to any in need. While he still struggles with the nuances of mortal language, he is on a quest to understand skydwellers and their rich cultural tapestries.

EX Character Versions of Gran, Djeeta, and Narmaya Now Playable!
From Version 2.20, players will be able to select EX character versions of Gran, Djeeta, and Narmaya. EX characters possess different skills and mechanics from their standard counterparts, allowing players to experience a new twist on familiar characters.
- EX characters cannot be used in story mode.
- EX characters share rankings, Versus ranks, and character levels with their standard counterparts.
New Lobby Avatar and Costume Coming with Battle Pass Round 9
The latest battle pass, Battle Pass Round 9, includes additional in-game items that can be unlocked, such as music, stickers, badges, trophies, and more. A new lobby avatar, Vyrn (Skyfarer), can also be obtained as a battle pass reward.
Players can obtain even more rewards by purchasing Premium Battle Pass Round 9, which includes the Life’s Compassionate Observer costume for Galleon in addition to exclusive character colors and weapon skins.
