Indie narrative label Fellow Traveller and talented indie game trio Paper Castle Games today launched the anime-inspired RPG Wander Stars on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S! The game is available with a 10% launch week discount on Steam, and anyone who buys the game on Steam before October 2, 2025 will be able to claim the Digital Sketchbook and Original Soundtrack for free!
Digital Sketchbook: 40 pages of concept art from Andie Gallo and Kay Dominguez, packed with production sketches, character concepts, and environment designs
Original Soundtrack: 55 tracks from Sayth Vashra and Stijn van Wakeren, inspired by beloved Japanese musical genres of the 1980s

Over 10 television-style episodes, the unlikely duo plots a course across the galaxy, picking up pieces of the Wanderstar map and creating their own found family. Along the way, they’ll use their words and fists as masters of the “Kiai” martial arts, which rewards battling with honor as much as raw power.

In Wander Stars, Kiai battles play out with a unique word and turn-based combat system, making use of the words that Ringo and Wolfe have learned throughout their travels. Piece them together to perform impossibly powerful offensive moves such as Fire! Smash!, or pull off devastating defensive moves like the Phantom! Guard! There are more than 200 words to find and combine, and players must also consider strengths, weaknesses, and strategies to defeat their rivals (and may even turn them into allies!)
