UNDERDEEP Demo Now Available on Steam Ahead of October 30 Release
Indie game studio Hakony has released a free demo for UNDERDEEP, an immersive idle RPG focused on dungeon exploration, mapping, character development, and strategic automation.
In UNDERDEEP, players begin as inexperienced adventurers and can gradually develop their character into roles such as warriors, rogues, rulers, and crafters.
Mapping plays a central role in exploration. Players can place markers on the dungeon map to define how their character behaves during automatic exploration, allowing them to create different routes and strategies depending on their goals. They can focus on unexplored areas, efficient character growth, or take greater risks in search of valuable treasure.
Players can explore manually or automate their actions. By preparing a strategy in advance, they can let their character continue exploring without requiring constant input.
UNDERDEEP will feature more than 500 unique items, including weapons, armor, accessories, and other objects found throughout the dungeon. Players can combine equipment and skills to create their own builds and develop different approaches to increasingly dangerous areas.
Characters created by other players may also appear during dungeon exploration. Players can customize dialogue and behavior settings for these asynchronous encounters, allowing them to connect with other adventurers without the pressure of real-time multiplayer.
Save data from the demo will automatically carry over to the full version.
UNDERDEEP is scheduled to launch on Steam on October 30, 2026.
