Developer Wikkl Works has officially launched its climbing and bouldering simulator, New Heights, into Early Access! Players that take on the challenge of New Heights will be welcomed with real-world cliffs and structures to climb utilizing the game’s physics-based climbing system. Feel as though you’re authentically scaling beautiful cliffsides and embracing your inner climber.
Developed by real climbers with a passion for creating a game like never before, New Heights encourages players to stretch their muscles, master perfect grip and balance, and tackle challenging real-world climbs. Using physics-based mechanics, remembering your training will be key to ascending each location successfully. Once players feel like they’ve got what it takes, they can challenge their friends and see who can reach the highest spot on the leaderboards.
Wikkl Works prides itself on trying to make New Heights as realistic as possible using photogrammetry technology. Each location available in the game was scanned in from real-world locations using drones, meaning that, in the future, players may see their favorite climbing spots in the game! Players may even be able to climb locations unavailable for climbers in the real world.
