Today, Three Friends, the industry veterans behind Valheim and Minecraft, and indie studio Beartwigs, are thrilled to announce that their newly released survival townbuilder Romestead has sold over 250,000 copies in its first week. After launching into Steam Early Access on May 26th, players around the world have sharpened their swords to defeat the undead and set out to rebuild Rome from the ashes.
The past week has seen many other exciting milestones for Romestead, including:

“I don’t even know the Roman numeral for the number of players we have,” says Sam Bloom, Co-Founder and Developer at Beartwigs.
With the support of the community, Romestead has already received several patches to fix bugs and balance gameplay, sometimes multiple times a day. Developer Beartwigs are continuing to refine the experience to build a solid foundation before the reveal of their planned roadmap, which will include plans for a fourth major biome featuring entirely new tiers of buildings, armours, enemies, dungeons, and bosses.
Romestead is available now on Steam priced at $13.99/€13.99/£11.99.
