Starsand Island Makes a Splash During Galaxies Showcase with Fresh Trailer and 2025 Launch Reveal

Seed Lab has reintroduced their cozy life-sim Starsand Island at the inaugural Galaxies Gaming Showcase with a brand-new trailer that highlights the game’s heartfelt world, deep customization, and vibrant Island-life sim features. The trailer gave fans a renewed look at what’s in store when the game launches later this year.

In Starsand Island, players can embark on a journey of personal healing as they return to the island home of their childhood and settle into the calming idyll by farming, fishing, raising animals, and building connections with quirky local characters. With an extensive DIY building and customization system, players can truly shape their island paradise - and even invite friends along to help craft the ultimate getaway.

“We’re incredibly excited to reintroduce Starsand Island to the world and debut our brand-new trailer as part of the inaugural Galaxies showcase,” said Richardo Wang, Game Producer at Seed Lab. “This is a project that means a lot to our team, and we can’t wait for players to get a deeper look at the world we’re building. Galaxies feels like the perfect place to share what’s next for Starsand Island and the journey ahead.”

“We’ve poured so much love into crafting an experience that’s all about comfort, creativity, and connection,” added Seed Lab producer Golton Gao. “Starsand Island is the kind of game we wish we had growing up-a peaceful escape where players can express themselves, explore at their own pace, and build something meaningful, either solo or with friends.”

To support continued development, Seed Lab also announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign, offering fans a chance to back the game, unlock stretch goals, and receive exclusive rewards.

With its soothing art style and richly layered life simulation systems, Starsand Island is shaping up to be a standout for fans of cozy and casual games. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam for players to stay up to date as development continues
