StarRupture’s First Major Update is Coming on April 9th

Following a successful Public Test Branch period, Update 1 for StarRupture is launching on Steam on April 9th, 2026. This free update features a litany of new content that further expands the world of StarRupture, including new playable areas, buildings, resources, adorable new wildlife, story elements, corporation levels, some in-game mechanics reworks, and ziplines!

Update 1 will also contain a multitude of fixes and improvements based on the feedback provided via StarRupture’s official support page, the Steam forum, and official Reddit & Discord communities.

For those wanting to check out the update early, the Public Test Branch will remain open until the update releases on April 9th. The Public Test Branch allows you to jump in RIGHT NOW to the newest unreleased content, features, and mechanics, which you can playtest, enjoy, and share your feedback on. Please note that the Public Test Branch contains a work-in-progress build that may contain some game-breaking bugs and errors, and your progress from it won’t carry over to the official launch of Update 1.
