Roll the dice in Slay the Spire/Darkest Dungeon-inspired dungeon crawler ‘The Fortress’
The Fortress will cast its eyes (and many dice) onto Steam on January 16, just in time to shake off those January blues and take down a Lich King or two. The dice-driven combat is the central attraction here, but there’s more to this gothic realm of procedural peril than a lucky roll of the dice.
Each of the game's nine character classes will influence your build and directly impact the pool of dice you’ll have a chance to utilise, which, along with over 70 power-ups, shields, and rare relics, offer a whole host of different ways to approach your quest through the labyrinth. The Fortress is an unapologetic throwback to the golden era of dungeon crawling, featuring gritty pixel art visuals and UI, but it also includes modern-day QoL features to ensure things don't get too frustrating. ..
