Roguelike sci-fi autobattler Xenopurge deploys a demo to Steam
Publisher Firesquid and developer Traptics are proud to announce that the demo for roguelike tactical auto-battler Xenopurge has broken atmosphere and established a beachhead on Steam. M.A.C.E. operatives (Mercer’s Advanced Combat Enterprises) have established tracking facilities from which prospective commanders will be able to lead their own detachment into combat against threats unknown.
Are you ready to step up and do your part to make the galaxy safe for humankind?
Sign up today, download the demo from Steam and orient yourself with this new trailer below:
Xenopurge is a game of tactical command, played from the perspective of an operations officer, safe and secure aboard a command ship. Less safe is your squad, an intelligent and autonomous group of trained troops that will search rooms, engage threats, collect mission objective targets and evacuate as they see fit, unless ordered otherwise.
Unless you lead them right, they’re doomed.

The enemy are relentless, their numbers growing with every wasted moment. Played primarily through keyboard inputs for that authentic retro-futurist feel (the louder the mechanical keyboard, the better, although mouse is an option if needed), you’ll be watching the sensor readouts, issuing orders to your squad, tracking enemy movements and making sure your people are operating at peak efficiency at all times.

The Xenopurge demo features:
One playable squad (The balanced & flexible Sentinel Strike unit)
Command up to a four-unit squad, each soldier with their combat style
Tackle VIP rescue, Search & Destroy, Intel Hunt and Asset Recovery missions
Fight an abridged campaign across seven missions and a boss battle
Equip your squad with the best ranged and close combat weapons
Turn the tide with 8 different pieces of combat gear to improve survival
Customize your squad’s behavior with 10 different combat logic routines
Fully voice acted by real actors & actresses
The Xenopurge demo is now available through the Steam Next Fest and beyond, with a final release date to be on July 11.
