Roguelike Platformer MOTHER MACHINE Swings into Couch Co-Op Fest- Demo Available on Steam
Gremlin heads rejoice: today, indie studio Maschinen-Mensch has announced that the demo for its roguelike/platformer hybrid Mother Machine is now live on Steam as a part of Couch Co-Op Fest!
From today until Monday, February 24th, the demo for the chaotic cave-crawler- where no two levels are ever the same- will be available exclusively with local, splitscreen multiplayer functionality for up to four players. A procedurally-generated roguelike platformer starring 3D-printed gremlins and their decaying robot mother, Mother Machine provides hours of co-op chaos rolled into one slick n’ slimy package- interested players can dive into the demo!
The latest demo for Mother Machine includes multiple new features, including splitscreen local co-op, difficulty modes, voice acting, UI improvements and level design adjustments for a richer gameplay loop. As well, players can customize their gremlin with a variety of abilities and cosmetics so that their freaky little guy can spelunk in style! The demo available from Monday, February 10th to Friday, February 24th will exclusively offer splitscreen, local co-op to celebrate Couch Co-Op Fest on Steam - following that, a demo featuring online multiplayer will be made available as a part of Steam Next Fest, available from February 24th to March 3rd.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, Mother Machine is a one-to-four-player co-op roguelike platformer, set in the colorful cave networks of a derelict space colony. Players can create and customize their own personal chaos gremlin, who are sent underground by the titular Mother Machine to battle alien enemies, discover rare technology, and uncover the mysterious planet’s darkest secrets.
In Mother Machine, players can:
