Polish Action Roguelite RPG ‘Sancticide’ Hacks and Slashes its Way into Early Access on February 12, 2025
Prepare to become a biblical bailiff in Sancticide, Red Square Games, and Sylen Studio’s upcoming action RPG with roguelite gameplay elements, releasing into Early Access on February 12, 2025!
Based on Slavic folklore and “Komornik,” the popular Polish book series by Michal Golkowski, Sancticide lets you hack and slash your way through the End Times as newly recruited sin collector Ezechiel. Dive into battles of doctrinal dimension that blend old-school arena fighter intensity with modern third-person action mechanics, all fueled by the chaos that the End Times has introduced. Wield a heavenly arsenal including both unholy and sacred blades, ranged weapons, and divine “Purple Powers” including time and perception-altering abilities and those that can devastate foes.
Each death and every run provides a chance to learn more about this unruly world of saints and sinners, and to master the game’s innovative “Kosherness” system. All in-game items are either Kosher (acceptable for Them at The Top) or Unkosher, influencing which side quests Ezechiel gets access to, as well as NPCs, enemy unit reactions and available map areas.
Sancticide will remain in Early Access for several months, during which the developers hope to gather additional feedback and make further improvements to the game.
Sancticide will be released via Steam Early Access on February 12, 2025.
