Pine Hearts Joins Secret Mode

Good morning campers!
Indie publisher Secret Mode is delighted to announce that the critically acclaimed cozy adventure Pine Hearts, developed by Dundee-based studio Hyper Luminal Games, will be moving its camping gear into Secret Mode’s catalogue from today.

First released on PC and Nintendo Switch one year ago to this day, Pine Hearts is a cozy adventure game about fulfilling a childhood dream at the Pine Hearts Caravan Park. Based on the development team’s memories of Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park, the game follows Tyke as he helps his fellow campers, solves puzzles with an expanding collection of tools, and unfurls a personal and moving story about the loss of a loved one.

As part of today’s announcement, Hyper Luminal Games has also revealed that Pine Hearts will be setting up camp on mobile platforms later this year. These versions will be tweaked and adjusted to perfectly fit iOS and Android devices, with new additions such as side-quest tracking and a mini-map. These new features will also be coming to the PC and Switch versions as a free update alongside the launch of the mobile versions.

Secret Mode and Hyper Luminal Games have a long history together, with Hyper Luminal Games providing QA support across many of Secret Mode’s published titles. Pine Hearts is a natural fit for Secret Mode’s catalogue, sitting alongside wholesome games like puzzler A Little to the Left and underwater adventure Loddlenaut.

“One of our main missions at Secret Mode is to uncover the indie gems that gamers never knew they needed in their lives,” says Secret Mode Chief Publishing Officer, James Schall. “We’re not just focused on the great and unannounced indie games of tomorrow, but those hidden superstars of the here and now. Last year the entire team fell in love with Pine Hearts, and we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome it to Secret Mode. We know this is a really special and emotionally powerful adventure, and wholesome fans who are about to discover Pine Hearts for the first time are in for a treat.”
