Lv. 99 Game Jam to spotlight global game development talent
Lv. 99 Game Jam is the first annual sports federation-endorsed global competition, where game developers and students around the world will be invited to submit innovative concepts that might become the next great sports game title.
Organized by game publisher Project 99, the event aims to become an annual conduit for ideas, talent and commercial opportunities in the gaming sector.
Open for game development enthusiasts of all experience levels to test their skills and build the games they would love to play, Lv. 99 Game Jam 2023 will be hosted both online and on-site before finalists are shortlisted through public play-testing and voting. Representatives from the top three teams will be flown to Singapore for a Finalists’ Pitch to a panel of prestigious judges which will happen in parallel to the inaugural Olympic Esports Week, taking place from 22-25 June.
Besides USD50,000 in cash and prizes to be won, all qualifying prototypes generated through the competition will also have the opportunity to be shortlisted for further development and investment opportunities through Project 99.

The core vision for the event is to bridge developers, gamers, industry experts, international federations and global brands by driving the creation of dynamic game concepts through engaging new challenges and themes each year.

With the support of 2023’s theme sponsor World Aquatics, the global governing body for all aquatic sports, Lv. 99 Game Jam 2023 will take place both online and in 48-hour sessions hosted at select varsity locations in Singapore, Malaysia, Sweden, the United States and more. Interested participants will be able to register from 22 February [2000 GMT+8] on the Lv. 99 Game Jam 2023 Itch.io page and join the jam community Discord server to network with developers globally.
Expert Speaker sessions are also slated to take place online from 8-9 April, where industry luminaries cover game development topics to inspire and educate participants. Post-event, select talks will be made available online through Project 99’s official YouTube channel for interested developers and students.
