Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis launches today on PC, iOS & Android
Ironhide Game Studio today announced that Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD is out now worldwide on Steam, the App Store and Google Play, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the award-winning tower defense franchise.
Fifteen years after the first creep marched down the road, Kingdom Rush is going back to where it all began.
Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD takes players into the past, returning to the original lands of Linirea at a time when its greatest legends were still ordinary people and a young Vez’nan had yet to become the villain fans know today.
After the Sword of Elynie tears open a portal through time, players must journey into the Kingdom’s history and attempt to stop Vez’nan’s corruption before it takes hold.
“Fifteen years ago, we sent our first wave down a path without ever imagining where it would take us,” said Patricia, Community Manager at the Ironhide Team. “Genesis is our chance to go back to where it all started, while creating something completely new for both longtime Kingdom Rush players and people discovering the series for the first time. The community’s support and feedback helped shape this game throughout development, and we’re incredibly excited that it’s finally in players’ hands.”
Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD features an original campaign spanning 18 handcrafted stages across three landscapes of early Linirea, including the Citadel, the Stormcloud Depths and the distant lands of Arcania.
Players will command 15 towers, 12 heroes and nine spells, combining classic Kingdom Rush favourites with new strategic options as they battle more than 40 enemies from five different factions and face six colossal bosses standing between them and the future.
The game also introduces revamped progression systems, with heroes and spells featuring their own upgrade trees while towers use a shared global upgrade system that can be retuned between stages and reset at will.
Beyond the main campaign, every stage can be tackled through additional modes designed to push players’ strategies in completely different directions.
Classic Mode brings back to the original Kingdom Rush arsenal, challenging players to complete the campaign using only eight classic towers, two iconic spells and a single hero just like it was fifteen years ago.
Iron Challenge throws players against one devastating elite wave with just one life, while Blitz Challenge delivers three fast-paced waves with quicker enemies and increased gold gain.
In Hero Party, players command four heroes without access to spells, while Spell Rush removes heroes entirely and challenges players to survive using towers and faster-recharging spells alone.

To celebrate the release, Ironhide Games is launching the game with a 10% discount on Steam, with every game from the franchise also on sale with their lowest prices ever. Ironhide has also partnered with Youtooz on a limited-edition Vez'nan collectible figure, available to order now for a limited time.
Ironhide has also confirmed that development will continue beyond launch, with additional stages, heroes, spells and towers planned through future content updates.
