Kakao Games to Publish Frost Giant Studios’ Stormgate in Korea
Kakao Games, a leading South Korean game publisher, has announced a publishing agreement for Stormgate, an upcoming real-time strategy game by Frost Giant Studios, for the South Korean market.
Through this partnership, Kakao Games and Frost Giant Studios will collaborate to ensure the successful launch and service of Stormgate in South Korea. Kakao Games will handle local marketing and service support, while Frost Giant Studios focuses on development and operations.
Stormgate is being developed by a team of industry veterans, including Tim Morten, former production director of StarCraft II, and Tim Campbell, former lead campaign designer of Warcraft III.
The game features a low entry barrier compared to traditional RTS games and includes three factions: the Human Vanguard, the Infernal Host, and the Celestial Armada. Players can choose one of these factions to engage in competitive battles and cooperative modes.
Stormgate will start early access on July 31 for early backers and Steam Early Access pack buyers, with full access opening on August 14.
