Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 "Chromatic Beings Everbright" Out Now

Infold Games has unveiled Infinity Nikki Version 2.2, "Chromatic Beings Everbright," launching January 29, a New Bloom Festival-themed update inspired by Chinese New Year celebrations, folklore, and the warmth of everyday festival life. The update introduces a brand-new story set in the Wanxiang Realm, new 5-Star Resonance Outfits, festival-driven gameplay, limited-time events, and both in-game and offline cultural collaborations.

During the New Bloom Festival, Nikki and Momo step into the Wanxiang Realm, a land of eternal night alive with glowing streets, lantern-lit celebrations, and mythical inhabitants known as Chromafaces. While the world initially feels joyful and bustling, cracks soon begin to show. Assigned roles, enforced through Character Tokens, dictate how its residents live and work. As Nikki helps different Chromafaces while working at Baiqiao Hall, she begins to uncover the truth behind the realm's carefully scripted reality.

The story reveals that the Wanxiang Realm was created by Chroma in an attempt to save cursed stone statues by imposing fixed identities and repeating roles. Nikki ultimately challenges this illusion, showing that salvation built on imitation and control only traps its inhabitants further. True redemption, she argues, can only exist when people are free to choose their own paths and live as their true selves.

Version 2.2 also introduces two new 5-Star Resonance Outfits that reshape exploration and movement. Where Wanxiang Weaves Life, inspired by Chinese wuxia aesthetics, allows Nikki to shapeshift into different Spirit Personas while automatically collecting nearby resources. Chroma's Mortal Heart grants Nikki the power of the Celestial Deer, enabling flight and enhanced traversal within the Wanxiang Realm, as well as the ability to locate and mark treasure chests using Celestial Deer Vision. A new Ability Outfit, Nefarious Shadows, also joins the update, allowing Nikki to see through disguised magical creatures, reveal hidden paths, and uncover secrets scattered throughout the realm.

The Wanxiang Realm spans three distinct areas. Cai Ye bustles day and night with lanterns, fireworks, and festival crowds, while Kongming Gorge offers a colder, quieter contrast. High above both lies Jiuhua Pavilion, a floating space filled with endless music and dance. Players will also explore the mysterious Land of Eternal Daylight, where the sun never sets and time appears frozen.

Festival-themed activities run throughout the update, designed to highlight everyday warmth and shared celebration. Hotpot House invites players into a simulation-style mini-game focused on cooking, character interactions, and co-op play. Flavor Frenzy tasks Momo with gathering ingredients in a fast-paced platform challenge, while Fortune Mahjong offers multiple tile-based modes playable solo or with friends.

Beginning February 14, Infinity Nikki will launch a cultural collaboration with the Dunhuang Fine Arts Institute, inspired by ancient Dunhuang murals. The co-op quest "A Millennium in Colors" introduces the Mural Revival feature, allowing players to restore murals through interactive coloring gameplay. Players can also earn free Dunhuang-themed rewards, including the iconic Flying Apsaras.

From February 2 to February 20, Infinity Nikki extends the New Bloom Festival beyond the game with an offline crossover at Haidilao Hot Pot locations in Los Angeles and New York. Visitors can scan QR codes at participating locations to play a mini-game and earn instant rewards, order crossover drinks to receive exclusive Nikki and Momo merchandise, and unlock a Momo AR experience to enjoy in-store.
