Hauntii creeps onto the Nintendo Switch and PS5 with our prestige EDITIONS physical release
Lost In Cult is incredibly proud to reveal that Hauntii is the next release in our acclaimed prestige physical imprint, EDITIONS - our bold new vision for physical media.
Having released our first few titles for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in late May, including Thank Goodness You’re Here!, Immortality, and The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, we redefined what a physical game can be. Now, we complete our initial wave with Hauntii for the Switch and PS5.

Preservation is not just a buzzword for Lost In Cult, it’s one of our most core, passionate principles. As well as preserving the story behind games in our essay booklet, we of course ensure to properly preserve the game itself.
That’s why we’re the first company to work directly with DoesItPlay? - an archival group that tests every one of our games before we go to print, to ensure each is fully playable internet-free, completable from start to finsih without a download, and includes the latest patches on disc/cartridge. Our games all work straight off the shelf, ensuring they’ll be playable today and into the future when servers may eventually switch off.
We’re serious about not wanting to lock titles away behind limited EDITIONS forever - availability is important and goes hand-in-hand with preservation. That’s why every one of our titles received a standard retail release on the same day as our launches, via our world-class US-based distribution partner PM Studios.
EDITIONS launch on a monthly basis, with Hauntii standing as our release for July. Every month, you’ll see one new PS5 title, and one new Switch title in our collection. Full on-cart Switch 2 releases are also planned for the future. Sometimes these are the same title, but sometimes they’re separate!

About Hauntii + what’s included in this release
Hauntii is a visually stunning action-adventure game, developed by Moonloop Games, and published by Firestoke Games. Journey through the afterlife as the titular Hauntii - a ghost on a journey to ascend beyond the afterlife with their angelic partner. Solve challenges, collect starry fragments of your past life, and use the unique Haunt mechanic to possess and take control over almost everything, from enemies to environmental objects like trees.
Use this commanding power to craft solutions to puzzles, devise various approaches to combat scenarios, and explore the expansive hand-crafted with tight yet open-ended environments in the world of Eternity. Meanwhile, Hauntii’s dynamic soundtrack sways and swells with the action on-screen, creating a captivating audiovisual experience.
Applying a unique, hand-crafted art style with line art, animation, and a two-tone palette, Hauntii is particularly visually captivating, making it a perfect candidate to receive our EDITIONS treatment. As the first game originally signed for our label, it is an honour to be releasing it in this form.
As with all EDITIONS releases, inside a custom mailer box with seasonally-rotated artwork, you’ll find a beautiful outer slipcase, with original artwork by Harper Sims and debossed details, unspoiled by logos or distractions. A pull-out inner slipcase features a different colour-coded theme for each release, creating a visual delight for your shelf.
Inside, a fold-out poster with original artwork from Pam Wishbow features a wonderful new illustration, with the back featuring a description from the artist and a checklist of releases to date. Also included within a glassine pouch is an individually-numbered director’s authenticity card, featuring a printed signature from the game’s director, an original sticker illustration, and four high-quality art cards with images chosen from the developer, adorned with captions on the back.
Each EDITION includes a 40-page booklet, featuring an insightful analytical essay from an esteemed writer, alongside an interview with key members of the development team on the game’s creation. Written by Rick Lane, Hauntii’s booklet helps celebrate this artistic release by taking you deeper inside the game, preserving its history alongside art from the game and never-before-seen in-development materials.
The game itself features a unique game cover, created especially for our EDITIONS release. A standard retail release with a different cover is also available, for those that simply want a physical copy of the game and nothing else.
