Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Version 2.40 Arrives December 2
On December 2, video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. released the Version 2.40 update to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR), developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam platforms.
This update celebrates the game’s second anniversary by giving all players three special character colors, kicking off a 70% off sale, and making all characters available in the Free Edition for a limited time.

This update comes with two new control schemes and new content such as illustrations, stickers, as well as additional in-game content included with Premium Battle Pass Round 11.

Introducing Two New Control Schemes!
Two new control schemes have been added with simplified, command-free inputs so that anyone can enjoy the thrill of battle. Smart controls allow players to unleash combos just by rapidly pressing buttons once an attack connects, and Super Ultimate controls allow even complete newcomers to pull off stylish combos during gameplay.
New Lobby Avatar and Costume Coming with Battle Pass Round 11
Battle Pass Round 11 includes additional in-game items that can be unlocked, such as character illustrations, stickers, music, badges, trophies, and more. A new lobby avatar, Wubbly Wilnas, is also included.
Players can obtain even more rewards by purchasing Premium Battle Pass Round 11, which includes the Knight of Passion costume for Percival in addition to exclusive character colors and weapon skins.

Free SP Character Colors!
To celebrate GBVSR’s second anniversary, all players will receive three special character colors and rupies. Siegfried and Narmaya are based on their Grand versions from the original Granblue Fantasy mobile game, while Gran is based on the Unite and Fight outfit Honing Seeker: Eclipse. Players can retrieve them from the gift crate.

- Gran’s SP character color for Guider to the Eternal Edge can only be used if players have already unlocked the costume. Gran’s Guider to the Eternal Edge costume can be unlocked via the Deluxe Edition or through the in-game rupie shop.
- Narmaya and Siegfried’s character colors can also be used with their Grand Bruise! avatars.
Premium Battle Pass Round 6 Rewards Are Coming Back!
A character costume, character colors, and weapon skins from Round 6 can once again be obtained as DLC or in the in-game rupie shop!
