From Gotham to Mars: Composer ‘Corvad’ Joins Sci-Fi Survival Game Blind Descent

Yesterday, during the New Game+ showcase, Owlcat subsidiary META Publishing and developer Pokuch officially announced a collaboration with electronic music producer Corvad to compose music for Blind Descent, the upcoming sci-fi survival game set below the surface of Mars. Renowned in the EDM world, Corvad is known for a gritty industrial and dark signature that blends breakbeat, techno, bass, and industrial elements.

For Blind Descent, Corvad has crafted an original musical identity designed to amplify the game’s atmosphere and narrative tension. Leaning into heavy textures, mechanical rhythms, and dynamically dark energy, the soundtrack has been designed to match what players will experience as they confront the infection and explore the uncharted Martian underworld.

Players may recognize Corvad from his track “Tesla,” featured in the soundtrack of Matt Reeves’ film “The Batman” (starring Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano), or from his track “Khomus” in TV show “The Penguin” (starring Colin Farrell). His music has also been featured in advertising campaigns for YSL Beauty, alongside Zoë Kravitz and Sho Hirano. Other well-known tracks include “Breakdown,” which appeared in the CBS TV series “The Equalizer,” (starring Queen Latifah), as well as several of his tracks featuring in the OST of the computer game “Heretic’s Fork.”
