Forget the Mobile Ads: Gates-Shooter KORRIDOR Launches a Massive Demo Update on August 24th
Atmosphere, an evolving soundtrack, and more set KORRIDOR apart from the genre that inspired it. The game's free demo gets a major update on August 24th, ahead of a targeted Q4 2026 launch on Steam.
KORRIDOR, the atmospheric gates-shooter from indie developer TinyToad and publisher TARK, is rolling out a massive update to its free Steam demo on August 24th, 2026. The update brings new and improved visuals, balance changes, and more, while offering players a chance to descend into the catacombs ahead of the full game's targeted Q4 2026 release.
KORRIDOR takes the perpetually moving, upgrade-heavy format, familiar from gates-shooter games seen in countless mobile ads and rebuilds it into something with real substance. Players fight their way through waves of demons in a moody, torch-lit stretch of catacombs, picking up an upgrade roughly every 15 seconds to shape increasingly powerful runs. Controls stay deliberately simple, with just two core inputs for gameplay, while the game sets out to reward mastery - over 30 runes and over 100 shop items can be obtained, leading to dozens of viable, and sometimes game-breaking, builds across roguelike runs.
Tying it all together is a custom electro-metal soundtrack that evolves alongside the action, driving relentless demon rushes and six distinct boss fights. Between levels, players can browse atmospheric shops populated with real-world historical figures and trivia while they stock up before the round of demon slaying. Along the way, they’ll uncover treasure and secret interactions tucked throughout the catacombs, all while filling out more of a Medieval picture book as they progress further, like a good Scribe does. Players chasing a tougher challenge can push into KORRIDOR's accelerating endless mode, scaling their build to extreme speeds and competing for a spot on the leaderboard.
KORRIDOR's free demo first launched in September 2025 and currently holds a "Very Positive" rating from players with 98% positive reviews on Steam. The August 24th update layers in new and improved visuals and balance changes on top of that foundation, and stands as a strong first look at the atmosphere and depth players can expect from the full release.
Key features of KORRIDOR include:
Easy to Learn, Hard to Master. Just two core control inputs keep the action immediate, while 30+ runes and 100+ shop items combine into dozens of intuitive, and sometimes chaotic, build options.
A Soundtrack That Fights Alongside You. A custom 45-minute electro-metal score evolves with the gameplay, underscoring demon rushes and six distinct boss fights.
Moody, Secret-Filled Catacombs. Explore a dark, atmospheric world where treasure, secret interactions, and a completable Picture Book reward players who look closely.
Living History Between Runs. Shops between levels double as observation minigames built around real figures and trivia from the High Middle Ages.
Push Past the Limit. An accelerating endless mode challenges players to survive at extreme speeds and chase new records on the leaderboard.
