Embrace your inner Sheep in Ovis Loop, the ovine-themed roguelite launches August 14th on Steam

Prepare to put yourself in the hooves of the most heroic sheep the galaxy has ever seen in Ovis Loop!
The sheep-based roguelite from indie team LIFUEL will launch into Steam Early Access on August 14th following a successful playtest. Ovis Loop brings fluid, kinetic combat to players as they take on the forces led by the evil mastermind Dr. Wolf.

Against the backdrop of a gorgeous pixel art aesthetic, uncover the story behind an AI robot called Omega that lost its memory and was turned into a sheep on a mission to save itself - and the world - from hordes of hungry wolves controlled by Dr. Wolf.

You’ll be thrown to the wolves as these and many other dangers await Omega's journey. Still, you’ll need to overcome these foes to reveal more about the world of Ovis Loop, from sniper wolves that can strike from the shadows to mecha-wolves that will use the latest tech to try and take you down.

Ovis Loop lets players hack and transform their skills, which they can download from fallen enemies, offering players a sheep-tonne of ways to play, regardless of whether it’s their first run or hundredth. There’s no need for counting sheep in Ovis Loop, which will keep players on the edge of their seats as they battle their way through its dystopian sci-fi world.

A spokesperson for the LIFUEL team said: “We know this isn’t a battle a single sheep can win, but we hope you will. Our love for pixel-action is shown in every element, from the detailed backdrops to the satisfying combat. Ovis Loop is the culmination of four years of hard work.”

Key Features:

  • Explore a dark sci-fi world in the hooves of Omega, a robotic sheep determined to fight back against the wolf menace.

  • Take on waves of wolves, each possessing unique attacks, skills, and personalities.

  • Embrace your inner hacker by downloading skills from fallen enemies and adapting them to suit your needs as you see fit.

  • A refined take on pixel art that presents the world of Ovis Loop in vibrant detail

  • Full keyboard and controller support, with keybind remapping so every player can tailor the experience to their playstyle.

As part of the launch lead-up, Ovis Loop participated in Steam Next Fest earlier this month. The special demo version of the game, a prologue designed by the team to use the stories and ideas that didn’t make the final version, charted among the 50 most-played games at the event, which included over 3,000 games.
