Digital Eclipse and Team17 Digital announce Worms Armageddon - Anniversary Edition
Team17 Digital and Digital Eclipse, have a very special announcement for fans of one of the most recognisable and beloved games of all time - Worms. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Worms Armageddon and the creators of the game wanted to bring the Armageddon experience to a new generation of players as well as evoke the fond memories of those that played the game when it first came out.
This Anniversary edition will be released on September 26th and will now allow console players a chance to get stuck into the artillery insanity of worms, for the first time. The developers have poured a lot of love into the enhancements, with many quality-of-life improvements and a completely redesigned UI across all platform versions.

Worms Armageddon will feature online support, allowing up to six players to team-up or compete. Online is cross-generation so PS4 and PS5 owners will be able to play against each other, as well Xbox One and Xbox Series owners.
Fans of the franchise can also look forward to bringing the mayhem of Worms right to their table with Worms: The Board Game created by Mantic Games, which was successfully Kickstarted within 13 minutes of going live. It'll be available September 9th 2024.
