In the player feedback survey, almost 80% of respondents rated their likelihood of recommending Critical Shift to a friend at 7 or higher on a scale of 1 to 10. Nearly half (47.7%) rated their likelihood of recommending the game at 8 or higher.
Players particularly praised the game’s atmosphere, narrative, visuals and audio, while highlighting areas for improvement across combat, agent progression, difficulty, exploration and the user interface. Rhinotales is using this feedback to inform planned updates, including expanded agent skill trees, difficulty options, revised combat and resource management, a more flexible tutorial, interface improvements and performance optimisation.
These plans remain subject to change, with further details to be shared as development continues. For more detail on the playtest feedback and the changes planned for Critical Shift, read the Steam post.
