Clean Up Earth is now available
Magic Pockets, an independent French video game studio that has collaborated on renowned franchises such as Baldur’s Gate, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, The Sims, and The House of the Dead, announces today the launch of Clean Up Earth on PC (Steam et Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be announced at a later date.
After several presentations highlighting its cooperative mechanics and its socially conscious approach, Clean Up Earth now invites players to restore environments devastated by pollution, either solo or with others, while contributing to a tangible environmental impact.
“Clean Up Earth is an invitation to slow down, whether playing solo or with friends, to explore beautiful environments, restore them step by step, and experience the simple joy of watching nature come back to life. We’re incredibly excited to finally share this journey with players, and truly grateful to our community for their support every step of the way”, said Eric Zmiro, founder of Magic Pockets.
A cooperative and accessible gaming experience
Clean Up Earth offers a flexible experience, playable solo, cooperatively with friends (up to 8 players), or across large multiplayer maps hosting 25 players or more. With 23 maps available at launch, including three large multiplayer zones, players are encouraged to collaborate to clean, recycle, and rebuild diverse environments. Some actions require coordination between multiple players, promoting teamwork and complementary roles in progression. Using the Terra Cleaner, an upgradeable tool at the heart of the gameplay, players can vacuum, process, and recycle waste to gradually restore ecosystems. As areas are cleaned, nature comes back to life, revealing new elements to explore.
A game with real-world impact
Beyond its gameplay, Clean Up Earth incorporates a micro-donation system funded by the studio and its partners. Each in-game cleanup action helps support environmental organizations, at no cost to players. This system, already tested during events such as the Jingle Jam and Steam Next Fest, is fully integrated into the experience from launch. Clean Up Earth thus offers an accessible and positive approach, where every play session contributes to a collective effort with real-world impact.
