Clean Up Earth Introduces the World’s First Massively Cooperative Game Driving Real Environmental Action!

French independent game development studio Magic Pockets, known for its work on renowned franchises such as Baldur’s Gate, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, The Sims, and The House of the Dead, today announces the release of a brand-new demo for its upcoming title, Clean Up Earth, as part of Steam Next Fest.

This cooperative and relaxing game offers a positive experience where every in-game action can concretely contribute to protecting the planet. Clean Up Earth will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series in April 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will be announced at a later date.

Find the new Clean Up Earth demo during Steam Next Fest, taking place from February 23 to March 2.

Clean Up Earth is a cooperative game in which players explore polluted areas, collect and recycle waste, restore abandoned structures, and gradually witness the return of wildlife and plant life. Using the Terra Cleaner, an upgradeable tool capable of vacuuming, processing, and recycling debris, the environment visibly transforms through players’ actions. The experience can be enjoyed solo, with friends, or during community sessions bringing together up to 25 players or more across expansive maps, encouraging teamwork and coordination to move massive objects or rebuild certain infrastructures.

Clean Up Earth goes beyond relaxing gameplay by introducing an innovative system. As players clean polluted environments in-game, they trigger automatic micro-donations funded by the studio and its partners, benefiting environmental NGOs at no additional cost to players.
In the final version of the game, each player selects a partner organization when creating their character. Whether playing solo or cooperatively, every cleanup action contributes to advancing the selected organization’s score.
During online community sessions, waste collected collectively by all players fills a shared progress bar. Once the session concludes, a real-world micro-donation is unlocked in support of the featured organization, entirely free for participants.
Already successfully tested during a charity initiative conducted with Jingle Jam in support of World Wide Fund for Nature, this mechanism demonstrates the game’s ability to turn virtual engagement into real-world impact.

The new demo available during the Steam Next Fest includes 4 tutorial maps, 4 solo missions playable cooperatively (up to 4 or 8 players depending on the map), and 1 large multiplayer map supporting up to 25 players for 2-hour sessions, with full replayability across all maps.

Clean Up Earth is more than just a cozy cleaning game. It’s a gentle reminder that every small action matters, and that collaboration can drive meaningful change.

Clean Up Earth will be available on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series in April 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will be announced at a later date. For more information, visit the official website and follow the game on Twitter/X.

  • Real-World Impact System : In Clean Up Earth, every player selects a partnered environmental organization and represents it in-game. In solo or co-op play, cleaning waste strengthens support for the organization you’ve chosen. During online community sessions, players work together to clean a massive shared map. Each pile of trash contributes to a growing donation counter. At the end of each session, a real micro-donation is triggered. Over time, all partner organizations have the opportunity to benefit. No additional financial contribution is ever required from players. Your impact comes entirely from playing the game. The more we play, the more impact we create.
