Cheat your way out of hell in The Devil’s Due - New Demo released for Steam Next Fest

Major Steam Next Fest update adds two new layers of Hell, new enemies, cheats, relics, and more ways to bend the rules of poker.

Hell just got a whole lot bigger. Norwegian studio Games People Play has released a major update for the public demo of The Devil’s Due, adding the Pride and Wrath layers to the existing Lust and Gluttony content.

The expanded demo now lets players explore four layers of Hell, face new monsters inspired by the seven deadly sins, discover additional cheats and relics, and experiment with even more ways to bend the rules of poker.

Available now as part of Steam Next Fest, the updated demo offers hours of roguelite poker action where cheating isn't just encouraged, it's often the only way to survive.

The Devil’s Due - Steam Next Fest June 2026 Gameplay Trailer:

About the Game
After gambling away your soul in a poker match with the Devil, your only way out of Hell is to outplay, outcheat, and out-bluff an army of monsters inspired by the seven deadly sins. Build powerful poker hands to attack, use card values to defend, and bend the rules with every dirty trick you can get your hands on. Swap in hidden cards, boost values, sabotage enemy hands, anything goes, as long as you don’t raise too much suspicion and trigger a hellish counterattack.

Between battles, you’ll stroll through shops you can scam, shrines offering unholy upgrades, and a selection of suspiciously “fair” minigames, each hiding opportunities for players bold enough to break the rules.

“The goal was to make poker feel like poker,” says designer Jack Kristoffersen. “Not an abstract optimization puzzle. It’s about chaos, bluffing, desperation, and figuring out how to cheat just enough to survive without getting caught.”

With Monty Python–inspired animations, tactile UI, and a constant stream of new cheats and relics to discover, The Devil’s Due makes every sleight-of-hand feel devilishly satisfying, dude.
