Cat-Astrophy launches November 5 on Steam, PS5, Xbox and Switch

Cat-Astrophy launches on Thursday, November 5 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, priced at €14.99. Pre-orders on Xbox and Switch carry a 10% discount from October 29 to November 4; at launch, the 10% continues on Steam from November 5 to 15, and on PS5 for PlayStation Plus subscribers from the 5th to the 12th.

The cat is called Polo, and he's real
Polo is an astronaut cat lost in a hostile galaxy. He's also the cat of Aarón Hernández, the developer who built Cat-Astrophy almost entirely on his own, from Barcelona. That's the story of the game, really: someone stranded his cat in space to see how long he'd last.

Cat-Astrophy is an action roguelite with precision platforming. Every run starts from scratch and death is permanent: the only thing that survives are the star fragments that buy upgrades for the next attempt.

A new build every time
At its heart are the Star Cursor and the modules, which combine differently every run and completely change how you play. Finding a synergy nobody saw coming is what pulls you back in. Around that: real-time combat, parkour, and procedurally generated planets with alternate routes and secrets.

Fourteen languages, one person
It ships in fourteen languages, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian and Catalan. In a game made by one person, that isn't a detail: it's a statement.
