BrokenLore DON'T LIE Will Launch September 10 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox
Horror specialist publisher Wired Productions and acclaimed Japanese Studio Serafini Productions today announced that BrokenLore: DON'T LIE, will launch on September 10, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Ahead of launch, players can play a brand-new demo, available today as part of Steam Next Fest. A Japanese psychological horror experience inspired by themes of isolation, trauma, and fractured memory, BrokenLore: DON'T LIE places players in the role of Junko, a hikikomori whose carefully controlled world begins to collapse as long-buried memories resurface.
Junko withdrew from the outside world years ago. Now, as reality begins to distort around her, familiar places become twisted reflections of her past, forcing her to confront the people, experiences, and emotions she has spent her life trying to escape.
"At Wired Productions, we've built a reputation for publishing distinctive horror experiences that stay with players long after the credits roll" said Leo Zullo, Co-found and Managing Director at Wired Productions. "BrokenLore: DON'T LIE is an exploration of isolation, memory, and self-deception that creates an experience which feels deeply human while remaining profoundly disturbing."
Featuring Japanese voice acting throughout, BrokenLore: DON'T LIE combines exploration, investigation, psychological tension, and shifting realities as players uncover the truth hidden within Junko's memories. As an unseen presence begins to watch and react to her actions, every discovery brings her closer to truths she may not be ready to face.
Players can expect:
A Japanese first-person psychological horror experience focused on exploration, investigation, and tension
A deeply personal story exploring trauma, loneliness, and emotional isolation
Distorted environments shaped by memory, fear, and perception
An unseen presence that responds to player behaviour
Players eager to uncover the truth can download the free Steam Next Fest demo today and experience the beginning of Junko's story before the full release arrives on September 10.
