Bring musical merriment to a grumpy kingdom in Survivors-lite Bandwagon’s open playtest
Dust off your tambourine, polish your triangle, and answer the call of Bandwagon, the new bullet heaven survivors-lite from Bippinbits! The game is coming to PC via Steam and an open playtest is available now and runs until August 3.
While its name might suggest trend-chasing, Bandwagon marches to its own beat. As Drumbo the band leader, it’s your responsibility to recruit animal instrumentalists from far and wide and build a tune that will cheer up even the grouchiest gopher.
In Bandwagon, the critters that make up the animal kingdom are suffering from a bad case of ‘the grumps’ due to their grump king. You'll need to venture across the open world in search of quirky characters willing to join your band, adding new instruments to your assortment of sound. Together, you’ll create procedurally generated ditties that will cheer up even the most hard-hearted curmudgeon you come across.
The team has just launched their first playtest for the game as part of the Games Made in Germany showcase. During the playtest, which runs from July 21 until August 3, players will meet a plethora of musically-inclined creatures, upgrade their abilities, and explore a hub world.
Explore A Colourful, Critter-Filled World: The forests, hills and villages of the animal kingdom are packed with potential new band members. It's up to you to explore, find the star that enhances your signature sound, and put on a show.
No One Tune The Same: With procedural generation working under the hood, no two runs in Bandwagon will ever sound the same. Every new character combination introduces a fresh new sound, for near limitless combinations.
Make Melodies, Make Friends: Bandwagon promises a cozy adventure centered around the power of friendship and the joy of music. Team up, crank up the volume and turn everyone in the kingdom's frown upside-down.
