Anime Tactical RPG ‘NITRO GEN OMEGA’ Launches into Early Access This Spring!

Buckle up!
DESTINYbit and Amplifier Studios are thrilled to announce that NITRO GEN OMEGA, their upcoming make-your-own-anime strategic RPG featuring customisable mechs, officially launches into Early Access on PC this Spring!

The announcement follows a successful demo at Steam Next Fest in February, where players got their first hands-on experience with the game. The news was announced today during Galaxies showcase, alongside a brand new action-packed trailer.

NITRO GEN OMEGA is a sandbox turn-based tactical RPG where players lead a squad of mercenaries through machine-infested wastelands, operating customisable Mechs in high-octane battles. With an innovative timeline-based combat system that blends deep tactical strategy and cinematic intensity of an anime battle sequence, the game puts players in the director’s seat of their own, action-packaged adventure!

Key features of NITRO GEN OMEGA include:

  • Innovative Timeline-Based Combat - Direct a four-pilot crew in a tactical RPG with cinematic battles, where planning and intuition determine the outcome. Face high-stakes encounters where morale, injuries, and dramatic moments shape your team's survival.

  • Mech & Crew Customization - Upgrade and fine-tune Mech loadouts, unlock new abilities for pilots, and take the helm of two distinct Mech models, each with unique combat styles.

  • Airship Base & Crew Relationships - Manage morale, assign activities, and strengthen bonds among pilots through training, cooking, and scavenging. Friendships and rivalries impact battles.

  • Contracts, Permadeath and Trading - Fly across a vast open world, completing contracts for cities and outposts. Recruit unique, procedurally generated pilots and make a name for yourself in the continent!

“We’re so excited to launch NITRO GEN OMEGA in early access this spring,” said Gian Paolo Vernocchi, CEO & Creative Director at DESTINYbit, “We are so grateful for our existing community, everyone who played the demo during Steam Next Fest and our pre-alpha playtesters who have helped us with vital feedback. We did our best to deliver an exciting sandbox shonen experience and we hope to have the privilege to continue developing it alongside the community during the Early Access.”
