Game content and modes
Alien Strike is a run ’n’ gun with robust content, featuring at least 2 hours of gameplay on the first run and a high replay factor. The game includes full voice acting in English and Portuguese, as well as localized interface and subtitles in 8 additional languages.

In addition, the game features several elements, including:

  • 9 stages with varied environments, ranging from urban cities to alien landscapes

  • 15 bosses and 35 enemy types

  • A diverse weapon system, featuring standard and upgraded versions with real-time switching

  • Campaign mode with normal and hard difficulties

  • Local multiplayer for up to 3 players simultaneously

Run ’n’ gun with modern elements
Although heavily inspired by iconic ’90s franchises such as Metal Slug and Contra, making it perfect for old school players the game also features gameplay tools and mechanics designed for players accustomed to modern gaming elements.

According to Alyson, the goal is to “Bring the nostalgic feeling of ’90s run ’n’ gun games to newer players, as well as to those who lived through the arcade era.”

The game can also be experienced in co-op with up to 3 players simultaneously, bringing even more action and chaos to the screen while, of course, making the experience much more fun from beginning to end.

Trivia and References

Alien Strike also features several tributes and references for fans of classic games such as Metal Slug, Contra, Death Note, The King of Fighters, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In addition, the game includes environments inspired by the developers’ hometown, the historic city of Santos, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

The game also received a full-size arcade machine version, supporting up to three players simultaneously on the same cabinet.

The public reception was extremely positive, especially due to the surprise factor when people discovered that it was an original indie game.

Free DLC and Launch
Soon, the developers plan to release a free DLC for players, featuring new stages, characters, and an additional boss, expanding the game’s content even further. More details will be shared soon.
