Achilles: Survivor Team Adds Fan Feedback and Improvements to Upcoming Game
The team behind the upcoming Bullet Heaven title Achilles: Survivor has been hard at work implementing feedback from their recent Steam Next fest demo!
Character Movement and Responsiveness
We've noted your concerns about slow or "floaty" character movement and inconsistent attack speed for certain characters. This is definitely an area we’re working on to make the gameplay feel more responsive and enjoyable.
Game Mechanics and Balance
Balancing the improvements, powers, and progression system is a top priority. We recognize the need for smoother progression and more balanced skills so that players can build powerful and exciting character builds.
Construction and Building System
We’re improving clarity around the construction system. Issues like getting stuck in the construction menu, loot drops inside buildings, and missing functionality in structures are all being addressed.
User Interface and Upgrade Feedback
We understand that sometimes it’s unclear how upgrades impact gameplay. We’re enhancing tooltips and status effects to improve readability and understanding of the game across all aspects. This will make it easier to see what each upgrade does and how it affects your abilities.
Tutorial and New Player Experience
Many of you have mentioned a lack of guidance on gameplay basics. We’re planning to introduce a tutorial and more accessible information on powers, improvements, and transformations to help new players get started.
Random Map Generation
The map layouts are randomly generated to keep each run fresh, adding an extra layer of challenge and replayability to the experience. Additionally, some maps will have fixed layouts, providing a more structured gameplay experience.
