1st Edition of the MarsAI Festival

La Plateforme presents the MarsAI Festival, holding its first edition on June 19, 2026, in Marseille.

At a time when artificial intelligence is opening up new creative territories, the MarsAI Festival launches its first edition and invites filmmakers from around the world to submit one-minute films created with AI or hybrid tools. Dedicated to the emergence of new forms of storytelling, the festival explores the theme "Imagine Desirable Futures" and aims to renew our collective imagination beyond dystopian narratives. Open until May 12, 2026, this call for films notably offers a €10,000 grant to support the creation of a new project.

A Turning Point

Technology is opening up unprecedented possibilities. Artificial intelligence is not an end in itself. It is a language, a new material in the hands of creators. To create is to choose.

One Minute to Say It All

The MarsAI Festival sets one simple rule: one minute. In one minute, everything matters. Every idea cuts through, every silence tells a story, every image makes a statement. The constraint is not a limitation it is an invitation to get to the essence. The winning film will be awarded €10,000 in creative development funding by a jury of industry professionals.

A Call to Creators Worldwide

The MarsAI Festival welcomes AI and hybrid films. AI can play a small role, a passionate one, a major one and …. ! What matters is the drive, the vision, the act of creation with a flexible and varied use of the technology.

The festival is looking for those who dare, who subvert, who experiment, and who forge this new cinematic language. Those for whom AI is above all an authorial gesture, a fully assumed artistic decision.

Imagining Desirable Futures

The MarsAI Festival invites filmmakers to tell plural futures intimate or collective, rooted in reality as much as in imagination.

Futures where technology does not dominate, but reveals.

Enough end-of-the-world narratives. The festival wants to uncover what could be beautiful, just, and alive. Stories that open up, bring people together, and inspire us to build.
