Jagex, Remedy and Legion Studio Confirmed Among Galaxies Gaming Showcase Participants

The inaugural Galaxies games showcase continues to build momentum as additional high profile developers and publishers join the lineup alongside the likes of Konami, Team 17, KRAFTON Inc. and Kepler Interactive. >From an exclusive new look at Jagex’s new survival game to additional gameplay footage of Remedy’s FBC: Firebreak, Galaxies will also feature a curated selection of unique indie titles of different genres, including a horror game set in the ICQ era of internet and a much anticipated soapy sequel.

Galaxies will broadcast exclusively on Twitch on April 17th at 12pm PST / 3pm EST / 8pm GMT / 9pm CEST, offering viewers an hour-long showcase featuring world premieres, exclusive gameplay reveals, and surprise announcements from over 40 confirmed partners, with a few special guests waiting in the wings. Jane Douglas will host this celebration of gaming innovation.

Opening the showcase, RuneScape developer Jagex will present a deeper look at the upcoming open-world survival crafting game RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Set on RuneScape’s forgotten continent of Ashenfall, players will need to gather, skill and craft to survive. Only by mastering survival and uncovering ancient secrets can players hope to slay the Dragon Queen.

Remedy Entertainment will showcase new gameplay footage of FBC: Firebreak, their three-player cooperative first-person shooter set within a mysterious federal agency under assault by otherworldly forces.

Legion Studio, founded by industry veterans who have previously worked on Halo, Destiny and the Call of Duty series, will showcase new gameplay from their upcoming dark fantasy title Covenant. This teeth-clenching first person experience combines fighting, spellcasting, and shooting elements across campaign, co-op, and PVP modes, representing an ambitious new direction for the talented team.

Apeirogon Games will be unveiling LAPD 2195, a modern multiplayer and co-op reimagining of the cult classic game "Future Cop L.A.P.D." In LAPD 2195, players will step into the role of a rookie cop in the Mech-Assisted Security and Tactics (M.A.S.T.) unit of the Los Angeles Police Department in a futuristic setting.

The showcase will also feature gameplay from Rivals Hover League, published by KRAFTON, Inc. and developed by EF Games. This competitive arena title puts players behind the controls of fast-paced hover vehicles, where tactical maneuvers and team coordination separate champions from challengers.

Cleaning enthusiasts will rejoice as FuturLab will be sharing a closer look at the sequel to their satisfying hit - PowerWash Simulator 2 - expanding the franchise with new places to wash, enhanced equipment, and multiplayer features that elevate the zen-like experience of spraying the day away.

Galaxies also highlights several exciting indie titles, adding to the diversity of the lineup. MoJu Studios will world premiere never-before-seen gameplay of Asuka The Ascent, inviting players to enter a high-octane world of intense street races across Japan's iconic mountains, complete with tunable JDM cars, fierce rivals, and a manga-inspired story filled with mystery.

Horror fans will be drawn to SonderingEmily’s lily's world XD, a psychological horror game created by a solo developer in which players investigate a young girl's computer until discovering messages addressed directly to them. The horror offerings continue with Two Stamp's world premiere of Hear Tell of Hauntings, a scary survival set in the old west where players become a former outlaw investigating the abandoned and mysterious Wraith manor.

"I would like to thank all of our publishing and development partners for participating in the first Galaxies," said Chris Thomas, Founder of Galaxies. "We've created an event where players can discover their next favorite game, whether it's from an established AAA studio or a brilliant indie team creating something unexpected. Galaxies offers a new opportunity for an eclectic mix of genres and studios of all sizes to be discovered by audiences worldwide."

Galaxies will deliver an hour of back-to-back revelations spanning the full spectrum of gaming's creative landscape. In addition to game reveals, Pearl Abyss, developer of Black Desert Online, will offer exclusive Twitch Drops during the showcase, including a free copy of Black Desert.
