Climb real world structures and master the outdoors in New Heights on July 6

Developer Wikkl Works has officially announced that its climbing and bouldering simulator New Heights is headed into Early Access on July 6th, 2023. Wikkl Works encourages players to embrace their inner climber by offering real-world cliffs and structures to scale while players attempt to maintain perfect grip and balance. The demo, currently available during Steam Next Fest, gives players just a taste of what’s to come in Early Access and beyond.

New Heights was created by real climbers with the goal of creating a realistic climbing simulator for climbing and bouldering enthusiasts and those that wish to master the art of climbing but may not have the means to do so themselves. The game uses physics-based climbing mechanics that players will have to learn in order to ascend to great heights! Players must master balance and grip while maintaining their concentration as they climb. Before long, players will feel like expert climbers ready to take on the leaderboards and see who amongst their friends can beat their high scores.

Using photogrammetry technology, each location in New Heights was scanned in from real-world locations using drones. Wikkl Works hopes to be able to scan in locations that no one has been allowed to climb before! Whether you’re an expert climber looking to scale the unclimbable or a gamer hoping to challenge friends and see who can reach the top the fastest, New Heights plans to offer dozens of locations by the time it leaves Early Access
