Birdwatching VR Brings Cozy Gaming and Chonky Birds to Steam VR!
Buffalo Buffalo is thrilled to bring their recently revealed next game, Birdseed VR, to Steam VR as part of the Steam VR festival attached to The VR Forever Awards, which will run through September 23rd. The VR Forever Awards are put together by the VR studio and publishing label Creature in collaboration with Future Friends Games, and will feature over 130 games.
Already announced to be coming to Meta Quest VR, this is the first chance outside of PAX West for cozy gamers to experience the real bird behaviour, calls, and movements of these cute birbs in virtual reality.
While the visuals have a unique, cartoon charm, the photo mode in Birdseed VR is designed around real bird behavior: each species features distinctive calls, movements, and flight patterns. Players can relax in lush forests, complete quirky daily quests, and fill their journals with everything there is to know about different bird species. Whether you’re a solo birder or together with friends, get cozy and escape to nature.
Immortalize the chunkiest, cutest birds you’ve ever seen with Birdseed VR’s in-game camera, meant to feel just like you’re holding the real thing. Aim, shoot, print, and record the birds you’ve found in your journal and work on getting that 5-star shot!
