Vikingard Will Feature Festive Gifts & Prizes during the Midnight Yule Festival Event
NetEase Games, the online games division of NetEase, Inc. is bringing the spirit of the holiday season to Vikingard as the Midwinter Festival of Yule will be the game’s next event. The event, which begins in 9th December and goes through January, will give players the chance to win prizes, adopt magical pets from Norse mythology, dress up their character in festive clothing, and adorn their Mead Hall with decorations and a special Yule tree.
Vikingard is a casual simulation RPG for mobile devices, set in the Viking Age of human history when Norse warriors expanded out from their homeland. Players takes on the role of the Fharun Tribe heir, during a tumultuous era of exploration and warfare. With the aid of proud Viking warriors and Valkyries, players will lead their tribe across Europe in search of adventure where they will claim land and turn it into their territory, grow crops, preside over trials, and fight alongside Viking warriors on the battlefield. Vikingard features fully developed characters, gorgeous artwork, gripping storylines, and exciting gameplay that can be experienced casually, to suit the player’s free time.
The holiday season has come to the Fharun Tribe, but the Yule Father is nowhere to be found. To ensure that the Midwinter Festival of Yule proceeds as planned, players will team up with the goats that pull Thor’s chariot, Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, as they collect ornaments for their Yule tree and defeat the vermin that pose a hazard to the forest. Players who take part in the Midnight Yule Festival can deck their character out with outfits that exhibit the spirit of the season, with chibi Santa-themed garb for their Viking warrior. The Festival will also shower players with gifts and fun surprises, as the Mead Hall is decorated for the holiday season, allowing the Yule carnivals to begin. In this festive season, proud Viking warriors will gather around the fire, share gifts, and sing songs of their heroic deeds beneath the light of the Yule tree.
Vikingard is closing out its first year on a high by adding new features through regular updates and even partnering with the hit show Vikings in special crossover events. Vikingard is ending 2022 with a bang, as players celebrate the Midnight Festival of Yule with the blessings of the Norse gods, and prepare for the voyages that will take place in 2023.
