In Steel Century Groove, you’re a young and ambitious mecha pilot on a cross-country quest to claim the championship trophy and become the best boogie battler the world has ever seen! Thousands of years after humanity developed colossal war machines to avoid an apocalypse, these great hulking mechas have now been turned into giant robot dancers. Use them to achieve stardom, while uncovering their steel secrets along the way.
Armed with upgradeable mechas, mods to improve them, and unique abilities (including mini dancing drones, critical hits and counters), craft a team capable of winning any dance battle. With mouse and keyboard or controller inputs, you’ll button press to funky melodies and activate your mecha kit’s powers.
Steel Century Groove’s tale of friendship, rivals and leaving your hometown for the big city features an original soundtrack of upbeat tunes from electronic bangers to rock anthems (plus a stream-friendly option in the menus).
The game also supports imports (of MP3, WAV, or OGG files), allowing you to do your dancing thing to your very own playlist. Darude’s Sandstorm? Sure. ABBA’s Dancing Queen? Perfect. The TikTok remix version of the One £ Fish guy? An inspired choice that shows you have great taste.
