Ludomotion and publisher Big Sugar mutually agreed to part ways

Unexplored 2 developer Ludomotion and publisher Big Sugar mutually agreed to part ways. Ludomotion will take on the publishing duties for the genre defying procedurally generated open world RPG that launched on PC this May and later on consoles

Ludomotion’s Joris Dormans: “We are grateful for Big Sugar to have embarked on this adventure with us. We thank them for making such an ambitious project possible. Now it’s time for us to look forward, to the future of Unexplored 2.”

PC & Consoles

Dormans continues: “The core team behind Unexplored 2 is dedicated to keep pushing updates once a week on PC. Since launch we have published over 25 updates and patches and we will continue to do so. We also have plans and new content lined up. We’re moving to a new discord server and are excited to see our very dedicated community of players to follow us suit.”

For consoles Big Sugar will remain publisher until a new company has been signed on to take over the game for Xbox and Playstation consoles. “We hope this switch will allow us to keep updating the game on all platforms.”

Awards
Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy is a unique game by all means. It’s a deep, slow-paced, immersive, open-world mix of roguelites and RPGs, with a table-top 'feel' & an interesting twist on permadeath.

The game boasts a beautiful art style, an equally beautiful, award winning orchestral soundtrack, and an enormous replayability value. Furthermore the game won Best Technical Achievement at the Dutch game development awards for its radical approach to content generation.
