Cosy Cowboy Life Sim ‘Wild Indigo Ranch’ by Funday Games Launches on PC Today
Funday Games, developers behind this year’s breakout hit Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, are excited to launch their co-op cowboy sim game Wild Indigo Ranch into 1.0 on Steam. Starting today, players can saddle up solo or with up to three friends and restore a ranch deep in the Wild West to its former glory.
Wild Indigo Ranch invites players to the outskirts of Tumbleville where a new life awaits. There, a company called Grit Corp wishes to turn the beautiful western frontier into a profit-making machine, and players will have to work together with the townsfolk of Tumbleville to restore Wild Indigo Ranch to its former glory and fight the corporation’s greedy grip.
Key features of Wild Indigo Ranch include:
Live the Life of a Cowboy - Venture into a cute and cosy take on a Western open world ripe with dangers and resources. Discover beautiful vistas on the open prairie, explore the quaint town of Tumbleville and interact with the locals, or take a trip down the haunted mine shafts to find riches that await within.
Craft the Dream Ranch on the Frontier - Build up the once-renowned ranch to its former glory and craft weapons to defend it from local wildlife. With tools such as the pickaxe and axe, gather materials to outfit the ranch with stables, coops, and workshops, and furnish it with a range of customisation options to create the perfect home.
Saddle Up With The Posse - With up to three friends online, gang up to help build the best ranch in the whole of the Wild West. Work together to bring in resources, create the ideal home, or ride off into the sunset onto the next adventure.
For players who have been playing since Early Access, the 1.0 launch delivers an abundance of new content to the vast western lands. The introduction of a new biome known as Westwood brings new friends, wildlife, and enemies, along with a satisfying conclusion to the main story and the ability to trade goods with characters across the world. Other quality-of-life improvements have also been added such as fast travel, more customisation options, and improved game optimisation.
“Releasing Wild Indigo Ranch into 1.0 feels cathartic.” Emil Stidsholt, Head of Marketing at Funday Games comments on the game’s launch. “When the game launched into Early Access it was focused on the ‘rootin’-tootin’ shootin’ and being a badass cowboy, but our players expressed more interest in the life sim aspect of the game. We’ve listened to their feedback, and transformed the game so that it focuses more on the fantasy of life on the prairie and building up your ranch. We hope you love it as much as we do!”
Launch visual assets can be found here. Wild Indigo Ranch is now available to purchase on Steam for £16.75/$19.99.
