Teardown smashes past 2.5 Million Players

Today Saber Interactive has announced that Teardown, the award-winning sandbox heist game, has reached 2.5 million players in the two weeks since its console launch.

This milestone comes just two weeks after the game’s November 15 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Available on day one to PS Plus PlayStation®Plus Extra and Premium|Deluxe subscribers, the game was also accompanied by the introduction of a new Season Pass and the game’s first-ever Premium DLC “Time Campers,” an explosive campaign expansion set in the Wild West.

"We're genuinely amazed by the incredible response we've received since Teardown launched on consoles. It's heartening to see hundreds of thousands of new players join our community, bringing fresh energy and ideas. As we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we're excited to share that we're working on some significant updates, including free online multiplayer. We're already experimenting with fun, new ways to play Teardown with friends - or even in friendly competition. It's a thrilling time for us, and we're eager to bring these updates to you soon," said Marcus Dawson, CEO Tuxedo Labs.

Tuxedo Labs will continue to expand on the game, with three additional upcoming DLCs, gameplay updates, new features, and a highly anticipated online multiplayer that will give players a whole new way to experience Teardown. Additionally, an update will arrive next week, bringing inverted controls and quality of life improvements to Teardown on consoles.

Winner of multiple awards, including Excellence in Design at the Independent Games Festival, Teardown’s realistic, real-time physics and fully destructible, voxel-simulated, ray-traced world give players immense freedom to discover unique emergent gameplay solutions to nearly any challenge. The game features a fully destructible 40-mission heist campaign, a Sandbox Mode offering endless possibilities, a robust community-made mod library on PC, a challenge mode, and more.
